Medical Assistant - Medical Assistant


Job Details:


• Day shifts, 8 hours, Monday through Friday from 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM
• Work with adult outpatient clinic patients
• Assist with oncology patient care, supporting patients through their cancer journey
• Responsible for taking vitals, noting patients' needs and concerns, and assisting with clinic procedures and exams
• Collaborate with multi-disciplinary experts in palliative care, nutrition, genetics, and health psychology
• Perform blood glucose monitoring via glucometer, height/weight measurements, and pulse oximetry
• Administer immunizations and label specimens
• Obtain and record vital signs, patient history, medications, and allergies
• Assist with rooming patients and urine collection (UA/Clean Catch)
• Handle pharmacy calls and patient refill requests
• Minimum 2 years of Medical Assistant experience required
• CMA, RMA, or CCMA certification required
• Completion of an accredited Medical Assistant program required
• BLS certification required - AHA only
• Travelers are required to float as needed
• Must live more than 50 miles from the facility; locals not accepted
