Senior Compensation Analyst

Job Summary Piper Companies is seeking a Senior Compensation Analyst to support a growing life sciences organization . This position is hybrid in Research Triangle Park (RTP), NC , with an expectation of working onsite three days per week. Responsibilities Serve as a compensation partner to HR and business stakeholders on compensation-related initiatives and decisions. Conduct job evaluations, market pricing analyses, salary benchmarking, and FLSA classification reviews. Analyze compensation data and trends to support pay recommendations and workforce planning. Develop and maintain job descriptions, career pathways, and job architecture frameworks. Support annual merit planning cycles and compensation program administration. Participate in compensation surveys and analyze market competitiveness. Prepare compensation reports, dashboards, and ad hoc analyses for leadership. Support maintenance and optimization of compensation systems and Workday functionality. Assist with compensation process improvements and departmental projects. Required Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Finance, Psychology, or a related field. 5+ years of progressive compensation experience within an HR function. Experience conducting market pricing, job evaluations, and compensation analyses. Advanced Microsoft Excel skills including pivot tables, data modeling, and large dataset analysis. Experience using compensation management tools such as PayFactors, MarketPay, CompAnalyst, or similar systems. Workday experience strongly preferred. Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills. Life sciences, pharmaceutical, biotechnology, medical device, or healthcare industry experience preferred. Preferred Qualifications Master's degree in a related discipline. CCP, GRP, PHR, or SPHR certification. Experience supporting large-scale compensation projects. Experience within a publicly traded organization. Additional HR experience in Total Rewards, Benefits, Recruiting, or HRIS.
