Organization OTO Clinical Trials Job Summary Clinical/Translational Research Coordinator (Sleep Research). Flexible weekday schedule | NIH‑funded studies | Nashville (VUMC East – One Hundred Oaks). Join a high‑impact sleep research team and play a central role in bringing cutting‑edge clinical/translational studies to life. Coordinate study start‑up and day‑to‑day execution of both industry and federally‑funded sponsored sleep research—ensuring excellent data quality, participant safety, and full compliance with IRB and regulatory requirements. Work closely with Dr. David Kent, advancing research that helps shape the future of sleep medicine. Key Responsibilities Proficiently prepare and process new IRB research proposals, amendments, continuing review applications and adverse event reports according to institutional and departmental policies and federal regulations. Accurately and compliantly prepare and maintain documents required to be kept internally and available for regulatory authorities and sponsors. Participate in site visits from sponsors and regulatory authorities to review research, source documentation and procedures. Identify and procure equipment and supplies needed to fulfill project requirements. Determine eligible candidates for study participation, ensuring participants meet eligibility requirements. Record data from source documentation onto case report forms, ensuring accuracy, completeness and timeliness. Perform packaging and shipment of study specimens to the sponsor or laboratory in accordance with guidelines. Develop and manage study budgets, monitor invoicing and ensure billing compliance. Advocate for human subjects by maintaining communication with investigators, sponsors and participants. Participate in the informed consent process, ensuring participants understand the study expectations. Engage in research‑related programs such as the Clinical/Translational Research Staff Council. Additional duties may be assigned. Location Training: Vanderbilt Medical Center East – 1211 21st Ave S, Nashville, TN After training: One Hundred Oaks – 719 Thompson Ln, Nashville, TN Required Qualifications Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience. At least 1 year of clinical research experience. Registered Polysomnographic Technologist (RPSGT) certification. Experience with Epic or another electronic health record system.
