3AB and 4AB are two medical-surgical units located within the beautiful Blodgett Hospital. These units are an excellent place to build your clinical experience, develop your skills, and grow your nursing career.

Our patient population provides team members with the opportunity to care for a wide variety of medical conditions and diagnoses, with a primary focus on internal medicine. At Blodgett Hospital, nurses frequently care for high-acuity patients, providing valuable opportunities to strengthen acute-care assessment, clinical judgment, and critical-thinking skills.

As 3AB and 4AB continue to expand our patient population, we are excited to welcome new team members and grow our already well-established nursing team. Our units are built on collaboration, teamwork, and a strong commitment to providing exceptional patient care.

About Blodgett Hospital

Set within a quiet, beautifully maintained property of mature trees and healing gardens. We have a history of providing high quality, compassionate and personalized medical care. Since 1846, Blodgett Hospital has earned a reputation for excellence as a community and teaching hospital. We provide patient-focused inpatient care in 248 private patient rooms and outpatient services for medical, surgical and specialty care, achieving high rates of patient satisfaction.

Scope of work

Delivers nursing care responsibly and accountably as described professionally by the American Nurses Association (ANA) and legally by the State of Michigan. Demonstrates competency through the critical thinking model known as the nursing process. This includes assessment, diagnosis, outcomes identification, planning, implementation, and evaluation. Upholds the standards of professional performance as described by the ANA. This includes ethical practice, culturally congruent practice, communication, collaboration, leadership, education, evidence-based practice and research, quality of practice, professional practice evaluation, resource utilization and environmental health. Strives to achieve optimal outcomes.

Qualifications

• Associates in Nursing Required

• Bachelors in Nursing Required within 5 years

• MI Registered Nurse (RN) Required

• AHA or ARC Basic Life Support (BLS) Required within 90 days
