CNC Lathe Machinist - Swing Shift

Location: Woodinville, WA
Pay: $26.50-$37.00/hour, depending on experience
Shift: Swing Shift; exact hours to be confirmed
Workplace: On-site

Position Summary

A confidential aerospace manufacturer in Woodinville, WA is seeking a CNC Lathe Machinist to set up and operate precision machining equipment and produce aerospace components to drawing requirements.

Key Responsibilities

• Set up and operate CNC and manual lathes and related machining equipment.
• Read blueprints, sketches, engineering specifications, and work instructions.
• Use machinist hand tools and precision measuring instruments to verify dimensions and quality.
• Perform shop calculations for dimensions, tooling, feeds, and speeds.
• Monitor machining processes, setups, and change-outs; change and adjust cutters as instructed.
• Load parts and tools correctly, maintain consistent quality, and follow process controls.
• Use mechanical hoists to move items to and from machines when required.
• Follow Lean Manufacturing, quality-system, safety, and housekeeping procedures.
• Work cooperatively with the production team and help train others as assigned.

Required Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Knowledge of general machining and CNC processes, including setups, monitoring, and change-outs.
• Blueprint reading, shop math, and precision measurement skills.
• Manual dexterity, attention to detail, and ability to follow work instructions.
• Ability to work safely and communicate effectively with the team.

Preferred Qualifications

• Two to three years of machining experience; two-year machining certificate.
• Aerospace, tight-tolerance, CNC lathe, or manual lathe experience.
• Gundrilling, ball honing, precision grinding, or mechanical-hoist experience.
• Lean Manufacturing and aerospace quality-system experience.

Work Environment & Safety

Hands-on manufacturing work involving standing, walking, bending, reaching, handling tools and components, and working around machining equipment, coolant, and metal chips. Follow required PPE and safety procedures.

Export Control

This role may require access to ITAR/EAR-controlled information or production processes. Eligibility for access must meet applicable export-control requirements.
