Job Title: Network Operations Center (NOC) Shift LeadJob Category: Information TechnologyTime Type: Full timeMinimum Clearance Required to Start: TS/SCI with PolygraphEmployee Type: RegularPercentage of Travel Required: Up to 10%Type of Travel: LocalAnticipated Posting End: There is not an anticipated end date for this posting since applications are needed on an ongoing basis.The Opportunity:We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Network Operations Center (NOC) Shift Lead to oversee and guide a team of network engineers and technicians in a 24/7 NOC environment.The ideal candidate will have strong leadership skills, a deep understanding of network infrastructure, and the ability to respond effectively to incidents and service requests. The NOC Shift Lead will ensure network uptime and operational efficiency, maintain quality standards, and mentor team members while ensuring smooth operations during their shift.Responsibilities:Supervise and lead the NOC team during assigned shifts, ensuring effective monitoring of network performance, incidents, and alerts.Manage and prioritize incoming network incidents and service requests, ensuring timely resolution and escalation when necessary.Ensure that service level agreements (SLAs) and operational targets are met consistently.Coordinate, lead and participate in incident response, troubleshooting, and root cause analysis for network disruptions or outages.Collaborate with other IT teams to resolve cross-functional issues.Ensure accurate and timely documentation of network issues, solutions, and escalations.Maintain and enforce NOC operational processes, documentation, and best practices.Conduct shift handovers with clear communication of ongoing incidents or tasks.Provide regular status updates to management and stakeholdersProvide guidance, training, and mentorship to junior NOC staff, fostering their professional growth.Participate in the development and improvement of NOC processes and proceduresMaintain accurate documentation of network issues, resolutions, and shift activitiesQualifications:TS/SCI with Poly requiredBachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field5+ years of experience in network operations, with at least 2 years in a leadership roleStrong understanding of network protocols, infrastructure, and security conceptsExperience with network monitoring tools and ticketing systemsExcellent problem-solving and analytical skillsStrong leadership and team management abilitiesExceptional communication skills, both verbal and writtenAbility to work in a fast-paced, high-pressure environmentFlexibility to work rotating shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidaysRelevant certifications such as CCNA, CCNP, or ITIL are preferredThis position is contingent on funding and may not be filled immediately.
