Department Manager

Summary The Department Manager will own a department or floor's performance, leading and coaching a team of client advisors to achieve individual, departmental, and store targets. You will support the Store Manager/Director in developing new and existing clients and driving sales for assigned product categories. The role combines people development, client experience, product expertise, and operational leadership including opening/closing and inventory oversight. Responsibilities Lead, coach, and develop the department team to meet individual and team sales targets and KPIs. Set goals, provide regular feedback, and conduct training and one-to-one coaching to improve performance. Manage customer flow and ensure a high level of client experience and personalized service. Drive sales and technical product knowledge for assigned categories, analyze performance, and implement actions to grow results. Support store operations including opening/closing, inventory management, and acting for senior management when absent. Requirements Proven experience leading a retail team in a similar luxury or premium environment. Strong communication and interpersonal skills with a client-centric mindset. Demonstrable commercial acumen and ability to develop creative, business-focused solutions. Passion and knowledge of the managed product category and interest in fashion, art, and culture.
