Coat Check Attendant - Jacob K. Great team member perks like Instapay (early access to your wages) and high interest savings both through the EVEN app. The Coat Check Attendant is responsible for providing efficient, friendly, and organized service to guests by checking, storing, and returning personal belongings during events. This role plays a key part in delivering a positive guest experience in a fast-paced convention environment. Key Responsibilities Greet guests in a professional and welcoming manner Receive and tag coats, bags, umbrellas, and other personal items Issue claim tickets and ensure accurate tracking of all items Hang and store items neatly and securely Retrieve belongings quickly and accurately upon guest request Resolve issues such as misplaced or lost items and elevate when needed Maintain a clean, organized, and efficient coat check area Assist with setup and breakdown of coat check stations (racks, hangers, tickets, etc.) Follow all safety, security, and customer service standards Support team members and perform additional duties as assigned Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent preferred Previous customer service or hospitality experience is a plus Strong communication and interpersonal skills Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-volume event setting Reliable, detail-oriented, and organized Ability to work flexible hours, including nights, weekends, and holidays Physical Requirements Ability to stand for extended periods Ability to lift and carry items such as coats and bags Comfortable working in crowded event environments Compass Group is an equal opportunity employer.
