South Florida Hand and Orthopaedic Center is seeking a full time CHT or an OT with 2-3 years experience and who is pursuing their board certification as a CHT
Responsibilities:
- The therapist will work closely with 3 (three) orthopedic hand surgeons
- Work directly with patients to achieve maximum physical recovery
- Evaluate effects of therapy treatment and communicate patients' progress with the doctors
- Record and document patient care services
- Conditions to be treated are fractures, tendon injuries, soft tissue disorders, nerve compression and all other hand injures
Qualifications:
- Previous experience in hand therapy
- Previous experience in custom splinting is required
- The ability to maintain sound judgement
- Ability to build rapport with patients
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Strong leadership qualities
- A Bachelor of Science or Masters of Science in OT
- Current FL license in OT
- Current certification as a CHT or eligibility for CHT exam
