Centennial Baptist Church is seeking a Lead Pastor to serve as the spiritual leader, undershepherd, and primary preacher and teacher of the church, faithfully leading the congregation in fulfilling the mission of making disciples of Jesus Christ.

Centennial Baptist Church is a Southern Baptist congregation located in Morgan County, Georgia. We are affiliated with the Southern Baptist Convention and hold to the 2000 Baptist Faith and Message.

Centennial Baptist Church is a thriving church with an average attendance of approximately 150 faithful worshipers and a strong commitment to spiritual growth and discipleship. We are a debt free congregation and strive to operate with financial integrity.

Our church is marked by a high percentage of Sunday School participation, reflecting the value we place on biblical teaching, small group fellowship, and meaningful Christian relationships. Centennial Baptist Church is a unified congregation that strives to work together in love, purpose, and service as we seek to fulfill God’s mission for our church. We are committed to maintaining a strong foundation of biblical truth, cultivating authentic fellowship, and reaching our community with the Gospel of Jesus Christ while continuing to grow in faith and ministry together.

About Our Facilities
The Main Church Building includes a sanctuary that can hold 500 people, 16 small group rooms, 6 offices, 2 nurseries, and a library.
A Fellowship Hall that includes a commercial kitchen, gym, and 8 small group classrooms.
A Children’s Building with a dedicated space for weekly children’s worship, 5 small group classrooms, and a Children’s Director’s office.
A Student Center that includes a ballfield, outdoor pavilion, kitchen, storage rooms, and both men and women’s bathrooms.

Biblical Qualifications
The candidate must meet the qualifications of 1 Timothy 3:1-7 and Titus 1:6-9, including:

Godly character and integrity
Spiritual maturity and humility
Faithfulness in family leadership
Doctrinal soundness and commitment to Scripture
Adherence to the 2000 Baptist Faith and Message
Proven ability to teach and lead

Key Responsibilities

Preach and teach the Word of God with clarity and application
Shepherd and care for the congregation, including pastoral counseling and visitation
Possess the ability to develop, communicate, and implement a God-given vision while leading the church in unity and purpose.
Lead, support, and encourage church staff and ministry leaders
Lead by example in personal holiness, humility, and service

Ideal Candidate

Communicates Scripture clearly and applies it to daily life
Demonstrates a clear calling from God to pastoral ministry
Married, family man who exhibits Christlike character, and models biblical leadership within his home, church, and community.
Leads with humility, conviction, and clarity
Is present and engaged with the congregation
Provides steady leadership to a church in a season of transition
