Estimator

We are seeking an experienced Estimator to support pre-construction efforts by preparing accurate cost estimates, analyzing project specifications, and coordinating with internal teams and subcontractors. The role requires strong expertise in construction estimating, design/build processes, and the ability to manage multiple bid opportunities while ensuring accuracy and efficiency.

Job Roles and Responsibilities

Prepare detailed cost estimates based on drawings, specifications, and project requirements
Review contract documents and develop bid strategies
Identify and manage risks related to project estimates
Solicit, review, and analyze subcontractor and vendor quotes
Build and maintain subcontractor/vendor relationships
Coordinate with design teams on RFIs and project requirements
Support bid day activities and proposal submissions
Maintain detailed project cost spreadsheets and documentation
Assist in improving pre-construction and estimating processes
Conduct research on potential project opportunities
Collaborate with leadership on estimating strategies
Support project handoff to construction teams including buyout and budgeting

Qualifications and Certifications

High School Diploma or equivalent
3-5 years of commercial construction estimating experience OR relevant academic background
Strong knowledge of construction methods, materials, and cost analysis
Proficiency in estimating tools and software
Ability to read and interpret drawings and specifications
Certification (or willingness to obtain shortly after joining) related to estimating/construction
