This position develops and implements strategies to secure philanthropic support, expand client and corporate relationships, strengthen Safety Center's brand, and promote the organization's programs and services.The Marketing and Development Director works collaboratively across all divisions to cultivate donors, sponsors, foundations, corporations, government agencies, and community partners while ensuring consistent and effective communication of Safety Center's mission, impact, and value.Essential Duties and Responsibilities: Other duties may be assigned.Fundraising & DevelopmentDevelop and implement comprehensive fundraising strategies to increase philanthropic support from individuals, foundations, corporations, community organizations, and government entities.Identify, cultivate, solicit, and steward donors, sponsors, and funding partners.Research and pursue grant opportunities, funding sources, sponsorships, and workplace giving campaigns.Write and coordinate grant proposals, sponsorship requests, donor communications, and impact reports.Build and maintain long-term donor relationships through personalized engagement and stewardship activities.Track fundraising activities and donor interactions using CRM systems and reporting tools.Business Development & PartnershipsServe as project manager for RFP and RFQ responses by researching business opportunities, coordinating with Division leadership, managing response timelines, and ensuring Requests for Proposals, Requests for Qualifications, and other submissions are completed accurately and submitted by deadline.Assist with the identification and development of strategic partnerships that advance Safety Center's mission and expand service delivery.Marketing & CommunicationsLead the development and execution of integrated marketing and communication strategies that promote Safety Center programs, services, events, and initiatives.Ensure consistent branding and messaging across all communication channels.Oversee creation of marketing materials, newsletters, annual impact reports, donor communications, presentations, advertisements, and promotional campaigns.Manage Safety Center's social media presence, electronic communications, and public relations efforts.Develop targeted marketing campaigns to increase enrollment, participation, sponsorships, and public awareness.Collaboration & Program SupportPartner with division leaders to develop marketing strategies that support program growth and awareness.Assist with development of proposals and communication materials for organizational initiatives and funding opportunities.Collaborate with program staff to collect impact data, success stories, outcomes, and performance metrics for external communications and grant reporting.Support special events, sponsorship activations, fundraising campaigns, and community engagement activities.Professional DevelopmentStay current on fundraising, nonprofit marketing, business development, communications, and industry best practices.Participate in professional associations, networking opportunities, and ongoing training.Supervisory Responsibilities: May supervise interns or employees as assigned. Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems.Qualifications: To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Reasonable accommodation may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.Education and/or Experience: Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Communications, Public Administration, Nonprofit Management, or a related field preferred.Minimum of three to five years of progressively responsible experience in fundraising, development, marketing, communications, sales, business development, or related fields; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.Language Skills: Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations. Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, members, governmental bodies/boards and the general public.Mathematical Skills: Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume. Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry.Reasoning Ability: Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions. Ability to deal with problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations.Computer Skills: To perform this job successfully, an individual should have knowledge of Internet software and the Microsoft Office Suite of products.
