Registered Nurse – Emergency Room

Contract | Night Shift | 12-Hour Shifts | Onsite

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care in a Level III Trauma Center Emergency Department with 21 ED beds, 1 trauma bay, and a 4-bed fast track area
• Manage a patient assignment of approximately 4:1 ratio in a general ED setting seeing approximately 125 patients per day
• Perform triage in designated triage rooms as required
• Manage ER holds intermixed within the ED, including patients in designated psychiatric and crisis rooms
• Perform and interpret telemetry strips; conduct blood draws alongside ED techs
• Document and coordinate care using Meditech EMR; perform EKGs in collaboration with ED techs

Required Qualifications

• Active RN licensure (facility is willing to support a 90-day emergency license request)
• Current BLS certification
• Current ACLS certification
• Current TNCC certification
• Proficiency with Meditech EMR
• Ability to work every other weekend and holidays as scheduled per contract

Preferred Experience / Skills

• PALS or ENPC certification
• Prior experience in a trauma center or high-volume emergency department setting
• Familiarity with telemetry monitoring and strip interpretation
