Senior Criminal Defense Trial Attorney (50+ Jury Trials) | Fort Lauderdale, FL

Mayersohn Law Group, P.A. is hiring a senior-level Criminal & Civil Trial Attorney with significant jury trial experience (50+ trials), federal exposure, and a background in prosecution. While the role is primarily focused on high-stakes criminal defense, the ideal candidate also brings experience handling select civil litigation matters, including complex motions practice, evidentiary hearings, and trial preparation.

This is a high-impact position for a seasoned litigator ready to lead major criminal cases while contributing to the firm’s civil litigation portfolio as needed.

• Serve as lead counsel on felony and high-stakes criminal defense matters
• Handle select civil litigation assignments, including hearings, depositions, and trial prep
• Manage cases from intake through resolution with full accountability
• Develop and execute strategic defense and litigation plans tailored to each case
• Represent clients in hearings, negotiations, and jury trials
• Draft motions, briefs, and legal filings with precision across criminal and civil matters
• Prepare thoroughly for trial with organized, trial-ready case files
• Communicate directly and effectively with clients and team members

• Extensive criminal defense experience with increasing responsibility
• Experience handling civil litigation matters (motions, hearings, depositions, or trial prep)
• 50+ jury trials (preferred)
• Federal criminal case experience
• Prior prosecutorial experience strongly preferred
• Active Florida Bar license in good standing
• Ability to meet or exceed billable hour expectations
• Strong courtroom presence, legal writing, and strategic thinking

• $157,000–$202,000 (performance-based on billables and KPIs)
