This is a full-time or part-time on-site role as a Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) serving a school located in Dearborn, MI.

The Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) will be responsible for providing therapy services to students, conducting assessments, developing IEP plans, evaluating progress, and collaborating with interdisciplinary teams (therapists, educators, parents). The role requires strong communication and interpersonal skills, as well as a passion for working with students with special needs.

Job Details

• Part-time opportunity with a 20-hour work week
• 2026–2027 academic year (August through May)
• Full-time or part-time opportunities available
• Open to licensed Speech-Language Pathologists and Clinical Fellows (CFY)
• Three positions available, supporting students at the elementary, middle, and high school levels.
• Responsibilities include providing direct therapy, completing evaluations, consulting with educational teams, and managing student caseloads
• Guaranteed paid hours that include treatment sessions, documentation, planning, meetings, and other administrative responsibilities
• School-based, on-site assignment
• Well-balanced caseloads that support effective service delivery
• Collaborative support provided by both the partnering school district and the TheraPeds team
• Competitive compensation of $65–$75+ per hour , with estimated weekly earnings of $1,300–$1,500+

Requirements

Qualifications

• Master's or PhD degree from a Speech-Language Pathology program
• State License as Speech-Language Pathologist
• Department of Education Licensure as a SLP
• National License: ASHA
• Licensing with the State Department of Education, where required
• CCC (Certificate of Clinical Competence) preferred
• CF-SLP placement may be available
• Experience working with children
• Experience in a school setting preferred, but not required
• Organizational and time management skills
• Proficient in use of technology
• Fingerprint background clearance
• Ability to collaborate with school staff and parents with a demonstrated ability to exercise a high level of tact and discretion in both internal and external communications

Physical Requirements

Working and playing with students requires that employees must be able to perform the necessary physical movement functions, as needed, such as lifting, sitting, walking, standing, crawling, and engaging with students in all physical locations and activities, while adhering to the duties outlined by the district.
