Tech I PT

Collin County is seeking candidates for the position of Tech I. This position performs clerical work of routine difficulty. Provides clerical support by answering the phones, assisting customers at the front desk, scheduling appointments, preparing reports and correspondence, maintaining files and records, entering data in the computer system and various databases and processing paperwork. Performs other related duties as required. Candidates must have the knowledge necessary to understand basic operational, technical, and office processes. Must have at least one year of relevant experience and must possess sufficient skill to pass a typing test at the rate of 35 words per minute. Must have level of education equivalent to four years of high school or equivalency. Must possess and maintain a valid Texas Operator's Driver's License with an acceptable driving record. This position requires that you pass a typing test at the minimum rate specified above. If you have taken a typing test with us within the last 6 monthsthatmeets or exceeds the requirements above, you do not need to take it again. If you have never takenour typing test,have notmet the requirements above, or it has been more than 6 months since your last test, you will need to take thetestin order for your application to be complete. Typing tests are administered in the Human Resources Testing roomfrom 8:30am - 4:30pm, Monday through Friday. You do not need an appointment to test, but youwill need to bringagovernment issued photoID.
