Staff AccountantClearwater, FLSalary: $55,000 – $70,000About the Company:Our client is a growing, well-established organization within the recreation industry seeking to add a Staff Accountant to their team.Located in a beautiful downtown Clearwater office with scenic bay views.Rapidly expanding, with facilities nationwide and continued growth plans.Offers a relaxed work environment with strong opportunities for professional development and growth in accounting.Key Responsibilities of the Staff Accountant:Prepare and record journal entries to support the general ledger and assist with month-end and year-end close.Perform bank and account reconciliations to ensure accuracy and completeness of financial data.Support financial reporting by applying GAAP principles, including revenue recognition standards.Review and properly code credit card transactions for accurate and timely posting.Process employee expense reports and reimbursements in line with company policies.Maintain organized and accurate accounting records in compliance with internal controls.Assist with audit preparation by compiling schedules and supporting documentation.Analyze financial data to identify trends, improve efficiencies, and support cost management efforts.Provide support to the Controller on special projects and ad hoc initiatives.Preferred Qualifications for the Staff Accountant:Bachelor’s degree in Accounting (required)2+ years of relevant accounting experienceStrong proficiency in Microsoft Excel
