Facilities Management Specialist

This Facilities Management Specialist position is located in the Facilities and Infrastructure Branch, Real Estate Management Division (REMD), Facilities and Administration (FA), Mission Support (MS), Transportation Security Administration (TSA), Department of Homeland Security (DHS). Duties include but are not limited to:

• Assist in managing and overseeing the full range of maintenance and repair of commercial buildings and/or multiple properties to include maintenance of the grounds, HVAC systems, plumbing, mechanical and electrical systems, elevators, automated voltage regulator systems, uninterrupted power supply equipment, generators, and the structural aspects of buildings.
• Assist in overseeing and preparing architectural and engineering drawings and designs, building information modeling, building codes, fire/life safety detection and suppression systems, environmental management best practices and procedures applicable to facility management, minor renovation and construction projects.
• Assist in developing strategic plans for short and long-term preventative and predictive maintenance and capital improvements to include the development of scopes of work and spending plan for projects and operational budgets.
• Provide customer service; collaborate with TSA internal and external stakeholders, and promote awareness of property management requirements and programs.
