THE POSITION

As a Maintenance Repairman 2 with South Mountain Restoration Center, you will play an important part in keeping the facility running smoothly. DESCRIPTION OF WORK

This position focuses on plumbing projects and includes skilled maintenance and repair work across several trades throughout South Mountain Restoration Center. As a Maintenance Repairman 2, you will perform the following duties:

• Plumbing Work: Complete tasks such as cutting and threading pipe and installing fixtures and systems
• Electrical Tasks: Measure, cut, bend, and install conduit and work with control and distribution equipment
• Carpentry Skills: Perform rough and finish carpentry, including framing, trim installation, and cabinet work
• Painting Projects: Prepare surfaces, mix paints, and refinish building interiors and exteriors
• Grounds Maintenance: Care for facility grounds, including lawn work and snow removal
• Equipment Care: Inspect and repair HVAC and refrigeration units to maintain efficient operation

Work Schedule and Additional Information:

• Full-time employment, 37.5 hours per week
• Work hours are 7:30 AM to 3:30 PM, Monday - Friday, with a 30-minute lunch.
• Telework: You will not have the option to telework in this position.

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE, TRAINING & ELIGIBILITY

QUALIFICATIONS
Minimum Experience and Training Requirements:

• Two years of experience as a Maintenance Repairman 1 (Commonwealth job title or equivalent Federal Government job title, as determined by the Office of Administration); or
• Four years of experience in building and plant maintenance work, which has involved at least two of the building, electrical, or mechanical trades; or
• Any equivalent combination of experience and training that affords the applicant with the Required Knowledges, Skills, and Abilities.

Special Requirement:

• You must possess a valid Pennsylvania Class C Driver's License.
