Quality Control Inspector

Quality Control Metrology InspectorB&T USA is seeking a Quality Control Metrology Inspector responsible for inspecting, measuring, and verifying manufactured components to ensure compliance with engineering specifications and quality standards. This role supports production by performing precise dimensional inspections using metrology equipment and documenting results.Essential Duties and ResponsibilitiesPerform dimensional inspections of machined and assembled components using precision tools (calipers, micrometers, height gauges, bore gauges, etc.)Operate and program Coordinate Measuring Machines (CMMs) and other advanced metrology equipmentInterpret engineering drawings, GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing), and specificationsRecord and maintain accurate inspection data and quality documentationIdentify, document, and report non-conforming materials or partsSupport root cause analysis and corrective actions for quality issuesConduct first article inspections (FAI) and in-process inspectionsEnsure compliance with ISO, internal quality standards, and regulatory requirementsMaintain calibration status of inspection equipmentCollaborate with engineering, machining, and assembly teams to resolve quality concernsRequired Education, Experience and SkillsHigh school diploma or equivalent (technical certification preferred)2+ years of experience in quality inspection or metrology in a manufacturing environmentProficiency with precision measuring instrumentsAbility to read and interpret technical drawings and GD&TExperience with CMM operation and inspection software (e.g., PC-DMIS, Calypso) preferredStrong attention to detail and documentation accuracyPreferred QualificationsExperience in firearms, aerospace, or precision machining industriesKnowledge of ISO 9001 or AS9100 quality systemsFamiliarity with SPC (Statistical Process Control) methodsWork Environment & Physical RequirementsWork performed primarily in a manufacturing/shop environmentFrequent standing, bending, and handling of parts and inspection equipmentExposure to machinery, metal components, and production areasMay require use of PPE (safety glasses, hearing protection, etc.)Job Type FT – Hourly On-SiteMay be required to work weekends and after-hours as needed to meet production demands.BenefitsCompany contributes 100% for employee HMO medical option.DentalVision401(k) Retirement Savings Plan including 4% matching contributionsDisability PlansCompany paid Life InsurancePaid vacation and sick leavePaid HolidaysB&T participates in E-Verify and will provide the federal government with your Form I-9 information to confirm that you are authorized to work in the U.S. All offers of employment at B&T are contingent upon clear results of a thorough drug and background check.
