Job Description

We are seeking a hands-on Service Manager to lead operations. This highly visible, entrepreneurial leadership role is responsible for establishing processes, designing the facility layout, building a team, and driving operational excellence as the business grows. Experience leading operations in a heavy equipment, construction equipment, forklift, industrial machinery, rental equipment, or similar service environment is highly preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead the day-to-day operations of a new facility focused on receiving, storing, and managing attachments.
• Design and implement efficient workflows, processes, and standard operating procedures to support safe and effective operations.
• Read and interpret blueprints to design an effective layout for the warehouse and production floor that optimizes material flow and productivity.
• Ensure proper maintenance, safe operation, and optimal utilization of equipment and the overall facility.
• Drive a culture of continuous improvement across all operations by identifying and implementing process enhancements.
• Track and analyze key performance indicators (KPIs) to improve efficiency, throughput, and overall performance.
• Identify and develop opportunities to expand capabilities over time, including repair and refurbishment of incoming components and potential future paint and assembly operations.
• Create schedules and manage staffing levels based on operational demand to ensure adequate coverage and productivity.
• Build and maintain a strong culture centered around accountability, safety, and performance.
• Ensure all operations are conducted in a safe and compliant manner, adhering to relevant policies and regulations.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and efficient work environment across warehouse, production, and office areas.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Experience with Lean Manufacturing or Six Sigma principles.
• Project management capabilities to plan, execute, and sustain operational initiatives.
• Familiarity with service-based operations in environments such as heavy equipment dealerships, rental companies, or industrial machinery service providers.

Work Environment

Work is performed in an office setting within a manufacturing and warehouse facility, providing close proximity to operations and equipment. Standard hours are 1st shift Monday through Friday, with additional hours as needed based on operational demand.

This is a Permanent position based out of Westfield, IN.

The pay range for this position is $95000.00 - $125000.00/yr.

This is a fully onsite position in Westfield,IN.
