Pharmacy Technician - Per Diem - Honickman Center

Oncology Pharmacy Technician

Reporting to the Oncology Pharmacy Supervisor, and under the general direction of Department Director and in conjunction with direct supervision by Oncology pharmacists. Assists in the preparation and filling of all medications necessary for oncology service line for inpatient and outpatient services. Supports all department initiatives and daily workflow/maintenance of oncology satellite and all patients.

Educational/Training Requirements:

• High school diploma, graduate of an accredited technician training program or equivalent experience

Essential Functions:

• Participates in the medication distribution system within TJUH.
• Prepares parenteral products using aseptic technique.
• Assures the provision of quality pharmacy services.
• Interacts with co-workers, visitors, and other staff consistent with the core values of the Hospital.

Certificates, Licenses, and Registration:

• Pharmacy Technician Certification required
• State Board Pharmacy Technician Licensure Preferred
