Material Handler

Job Description

As a Material Handler, you will be responsible for sequencing products according to customer specifications, using RF scanning equipment to verify sequencing information, and operating hand tools and assembly equipment. You will also sort products for quality checking and defect containment, perform quality checks per company/customer specifications, and ensure products are labeled and free from defects. Additional duties may be assigned as required.

Responsibilities

• Sequence products per customer specifications.
• Use RF scanning equipment to verify sequencing information.
• Operate hand tools, assembly equipment, and basic office equipment.
• Sort products for quality checking and defect containment.
• Perform quality checks per company/customer specifications.
• Ensure products are labeled and free from defects.
• Other duties as assigned.

Essential Skills

• Ability to lift 35 pounds.
• Standing for 8 hours.
• Must have a valid driver's license.
• 1+ year of relatable experience.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Proficiency in production, general labor, and assembly.
• Experience with warehouse operations, forklift use, cleanroom practices, machine operation, packaging, and hand tool use.

Work Environment

Work in a hectic and fast-paced environment that can be hot in the summer and cold in the winter. As a material handler, you will interact with a diverse group of colleagues from office staff to assemblers and janitors. The role involves working within a docking station as well as navigating warehouse aisles and assembly cells. Dress code includes jeans and steel-toed footwear.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Waterloo, IA.

The pay range for this position is $19.25 - $20.25/hr.

Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
