Operations Manager

This hands‑on job is responsible for managing all facets within the operations. This leader must be able to collaborate and work with other leaders across shifts, departments, and sites. Responsibilities include ensuring effective operation by working with supervisors to complete customer priorities based on demand schedules, assigning tasks and projects as needed, coordinating the flow of work, overseeing completion of work, monitoring key performance metrics (KPI), managing labor efficiency across the area of responsibility, mentoring and coaching leaders, and managing headcount. The role requires the ability to multitask, pay attention to detail, and have a strong understanding of quality, inventory, and warehousing processes in a manufacturing environment. This is an onsite role in our Irving, TX facility with a schedule of Monday‑Thursday, 6:00 AM – 4:30 PM. Responsibilities Ensure adherence to company policies and process standards, while maintaining employee morale and overseeing the training of new and existing staff. Work with senior management to establish department and company goals and rely on experience, judgment, and innovation to achieve them. Develop and implement process improvements and coordinate new product introductions. Liaison between teams, shifts, functional areas, supervisors, and departments, and partner with vendor, customer, and client representatives. Collaborate with other leaders within the site to monitor inventory level, materials, equipment, and the procurement of capital equipment as needed. Provide a clean, organized, and safe work environment for personnel to work in while ensuring all safety and environmental regulations are followed. Work with supervisors to ensure they are effectively managing their headcount and completing supervisory tasks which include hiring, performance reviews, mentoring and coaching, and disciplinary actions. Meet production operational standards by implementing production, productivity, quality, and customer service level agreements; resolving problems and identifying process improvements. Meet production financial standards by controlling and minimizing operation expenses. Drive engagement across the area of responsibility and work with leaders to review and address their Peakon scores. Review reports to ensure that the team or department is attaining the desired performance metrics; follow up with leaders on areas of opportunity. Maintain flow of operations by communicating production status, requirements, and problems to the next shift. Manager responsibilities include driving and maintaining cost within the business guidelines for the area of ownership. Provide leadership and training to accomplish operational goals and objectives. Requirements High school diploma or equivalent. Minimum of 12 years in a leadership or manager position within a fast‑paced manufacturing, industrial services, distribution, or assembly environment; including 7 years leading supervisors. Demonstrated experience with direct supervision and coaching of others. Must have experience working within a 5S, Lean, Six Sigma environment. Ability to identify potential processes and workflow improvements. Strong math, reasoning, analysis, and decision‑making skills. Ability to provide practical application of technical skills and techniques in wireless mobile device processing. Must have strong knowledge and abilities with Microsoft Excel and Word, and familiarity with label printers and barcode scanners. Detail oriented with excellent written and verbal communication skills. Must be able to interact effectively and positively with all levels of company personnel as well as external personnel. Must be able to work in a fast‑paced environment and handle multiple priorities simultaneously. Ability to work independently with limited supervision. Must be available to work extra hours as needed. Experience managing an hourly workforce. Preferred Skills Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree. Experience with ISO 9001 or R2 certifications.
