We are proud to have become a shining example of what'spossible when the brightest professionals dedicate themselves to making a difference in the healthcare industry, and in people's lives.Job Summary:The Radiologic Technologist applies their experience to deliver safe, high-quality imaging and a supportive patient experience at Wellstar Medical Group's Martinez Clinic in Augusta, GA Technologists at Wellstar are respected clinical professionals and essential members of a collaborative care team.If you'relooking for a place where you'resupported and where your wellbeing, career growth, and voice truly matter, you'llfind it here.Schedule & Incentives:This role is eligible for a sign-on bonusThis role can offer a competitiverelocation assistancepackage foreligible candidates A fulltime position with aMonday through Friday 8:00am – 4:30pm schedule Benefits program that includes PTO, mental health support, wellness rooms, concierge services and moreAccess to Wellstar's CareerCareprogramfor fully funded education and guided career progressionRequired Qualifications:EducationHigh School Diploma or equivalentCompletion of an accredited Radiologic Technology programExperienceExperience preferred, not requiredLess than 1 year entry level up to 5 years experienceas Rad Tech PreferredCertificationsARRT-R (Radiography)BLS (Basic Life Support) – American Heart AssociationCore Responsibilities:Operate imaging/radiographic equipment safely and competently, adjusting techniqueto maintaindiagnostic quality at the lowest reasonable dose (ALARA).Clean, disinfect, and maintainrooms/equipment per infection control schedules; identifyand report equipment issues promptly.Obtain clinical history and screen for contraindications; verify orders and two unique patient identifiers before any exam.Explain procedures, prep, and post-care clearly using AIDET; address questions and reduce patient anxiety.Ensure patient comfort, privacy, and safety; provide age-appropriate care throughout the visit.Perform exams and administer contrast per protocol, using venipuncture and sterile technique when applicable.Position patients correctly and apply markers, shielding, and immobilization as indicatedReview images for diagnostic acceptability; repeat/correct as needed and release patients appropriately.Complete accuratetimelydocumentation and ensure studies are correctly finalizedin RIS/PACS (including transfers/retrieval, CDs, and prior exam retrieval as needed).Monitor patient condition, respond to emergencies, and help maintain/restock crash cart and life-support equipment as requiredOrganize daily workflowto meet expected timeframes; collaborate with technologists/modalities to support department flow.Support operations and compliance, keep areas orderly and stocked, transport patients safely, complete charging/clerical tasks, follow regulatory requirements, and escalate issues to the supervisor.Join us and discover the support to do more meaningful work—and enjoy a more rewarding life.
