Major Functional Responsibilities Assemble, install, test, or maintain electrical or electronic wiring, equipment, appliances, apparatus, or fixtures, using hand tools or power tools. Troubleshoot electrical issues regarding production equipment. Inspect electrical systems, equipment, or components to identify hazards, defects, or the need for adjustment or repair, and to ensure compliance with codes. Plan layout and installation of electrical wiring, equipment, or fixtures, based on job specifications and local codes. Install conduits and pipes to house electrical wires and cables. Ensure piping complies with electrical codes. Install circuit breakers and other electrical hardware and connect wiring to them. Connect electrical systems to power lines to provide electricity to the building. Test electrical systems to ensure proper installation and operation. Inspect electrical systems to determine whether repairs are needed. Replace conduit and wiring as needed. Replace circuit breakers as needed. Perform other related duties as assigned. Support facility maintenance issues beyond electrical duties. Have the correct knowledge of tools and their usage. Disassemble and assemble equipment. Understand machine‑specific lockout/tagout procedures. Have a general knowledge of Hazmat policies and procedures. Comply with all policies and standards. Qualifications High School Diploma/GED or Equivalent Experience Associate’s Degree/2‑Year Technical Required Work Experience: 5‑7 years of electrical maintenance experience directly related to the duties and responsibilities specified. Licenses and Certifications Required: Electrical Journeyman License (EE98J); a second related Journeyman’s License; or equivalent military experience or completion of 60 credit hours in Electrical. Preferred Qualifications Forklift and pallet jack certification preferred.
