Position Summary

The Full-Time Cook is responsible for preparing and serving nutritious, appealing meals while maintaining the highest standards of food quality, sanitation, and safety. The ideal candidate is organized, reliable, and committed to creating a positive dining experience for our residents.

Requirements

Responsibilities

• Prepare and cook meals according to established menus and dietary guidelines.
• Ensure meals are served in a timely and professional manner.
• Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of the kitchen in accordance with state and local regulations.
• Properly store food and monitor inventory levels.
• Follow food safety and infection control procedures.
• Work collaboratively with the Dining Services team and other departments.
• Accommodate special dietary needs as directed.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.

Qualifications

• Previous cooking experience preferred (institutional, restaurant, healthcare, or senior living experience is a plus).
• Knowledge of food safety and sanitation practices.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Excellent time management and organizational skills.
• Reliable attendance and a positive attitude.
• Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 50 pounds.
• Hold a valid food handlers certification
