Substitute School Nurse

NurseTo work on an as needed basis when the regular school nurse is absent. This position is on an as needed basis and is non-benefit eligible. Pay: $30.00 per hourQualifications:Current license to practice as a registered professional nurse in WyomingRegistered Nurse with a Two-year (Associate's) or Four-year (Bachelor's) degree, from an accredited college or universitySome coursework and/or experience in education preferredKnowledge, Skills, and Mental Ability:Ability to work with various personality typesSound emotional judgmentVisual acuity, aided or non-aided, to read and interpret accurately written reports of a technical natureAbility to enunciate clearly and communicate positively throughout the work dayAbility to follow and successfully complete both written and oral directionsAbility to calculate accuratelyKnowledge of basic computer commands to run software related to word processing and administrative/instructional applications on a personal computerPhysical Demands:Visual acuity and stamina to work at a computer monitor for at least a reasonable part of the daySufficient strength to lift boxes or equipment that may weigh as much as fifty (50) pounds and be able to move them as far as fifty feet (50')Sufficient strength and stamina to remain seated for periods as long as two (2) hours without fatigue or discomfortSufficient strength and stamina to remain standing for periods as long as two (2) hours without fatigue or discomfortSufficient strength and stamina to remain in a "squatting" position for a reasonable period of time during the school day without fatigue or discomfortEnvironmental Demands:Ability to work in air conditioned and non-air conditioned buildingsFrequent exposure to various supplies containing hazardous materials or chemicalsOccasional exposure to weather extremesOccupationally exposed to bloodborne pathogens and other potentially infectious materialsPark County School District #1 does not discriminate on the basis of race, color, national origin, sex, age, or disability in admission or access to, or treatment of employment in, its educational programs or activities.
