Job Description

This role offers the opportunity to work as a Production Assembler in a cleanroom environment on third shift, supporting automated manufacturing operations in a climate-controlled, well-lit facility. You will assemble mechanical and electrical components, operate automated machinery, and ensure product quality through careful inspection and adherence to work instructions.

Responsibilities

• Read and accurately follow detailed work instructions throughout the production process.
• Perform visual inspection of parts in-process to ensure quality and identify defects or irregularities.
• Stand for the entirety of the shift while performing production and assembly tasks.
• Load and unload automated assembly machinery safely and efficiently.
• Regularly lift up to 25 pounds as part of material handling and assembly activities.
• Use hand tools to assemble basic mechanical and electrical components according to specifications.
• Operate in a fast-paced production environment while maintaining accuracy and attention to detail.
• Use basic computer skills to enter data, follow digital work instructions, or interact with production systems as needed.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the work station and surrounding area, supporting cleanroom standards.
• Follow cleanroom protocols and procedures to protect product integrity and maintain a controlled environment.
• Support general production tasks such as packaging, packing, and machine operation as required.
• Perform inspection activities to verify that finished and in-process parts meet required standards.

Essential Skills

• Experience in general production or manufacturing environments.
• Hands-on experience as a production assembler or in hand assembly work.
• Ability to read and follow written work instructions accurately.
• Capability to perform visual inspection of parts and recognize defects.
• Ability to stand for an entire shift and regularly lift up to 25 pounds.
• Comfort working in a fast-paced environment while maintaining quality and safety.
• Basic computer knowledge for following instructions and recording information.
• Experience using hand tools and power tools for assembly tasks.
• Ability to work in a cleanroom environment and follow cleanroom procedures.
• Experience in packaging, inspection, or cleanroom work.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Experience with cleanroom assembly for manufacturing or automotive parts is a plus.
• Familiarity with machine operation and automated assembly equipment.
• Experience with general labor tasks such as packing and material handling.
• Comfort working with both mechanical and basic electrical components.
• Attention to detail and strong focus on maintaining a clean and organized work area.

Work Environment

The role is based in a climate-controlled, well-lit cleanroom environment within a modern manufacturing facility. The department is considered unmatched for an automotive parts manufacturer, with a strong emphasis on cleanliness, organization, and quality. The position is on third shift, typically from 10:00 PM to 6:00 AM, with an expectation to work a straight eight-hour shift plus one weekend day (Friday or Saturday depending on department). Work involves standing for the entire shift, regular lifting up to 25 pounds, and working around automated assembly machinery and hand tools in a fast-paced production setting

This is a Permanent position based out of Greenfield, IN.

The pay range for this position is $40456.00 - $44616.00/yr.

Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
