We are looking to hire a friendly Food Service Worker to prepare plate lunches and to serve our customers. The Food Service Worker will perform cashiering duties along with food preparation duties such as setting up food service counter, and serve customers swiftly and efficiently. You will assist in preparing hot items for lunch and dinner, and serve these in assigned food plates as customers call out their orders . You will maintain knowledge of our products, and provide customers with correct information where necessary.

To be successful in this role, you need to perform optimally in a dynamic, high-pressure environment. Preferred candidates are fast-paced, organized and dexterous.

Food Service Worker Responsibilities:

• Greeting customers with a smile.
• Taking payments via point-of-sale system
• Must be a quick thinker, creative, organized, friendly individual
• Performing preparation duties such as setting up food warmers, coolers with necessary menu items and food utensils for serving customers in a orderly fashion.
• Weighing and measuring specific meats as required for each order.
• Wrapping, date-labeling and storing food items.
• Cleaning and organizing work areas, equipment, utensils and service station.
• Performing all Front-of-the-House cleaning duties (Dining area, floors/walls, outside seating, windows, tables/chairs, serving station)
• Cleaning dining area such as wiping down and sanitizing tables and chairs. Sweeping and mopping dining room floor if necessary.
• Following guidelines to ensure correct serving temperatures and adequate portion control.
• Serving customers in fast, efficient and friendly manner.
• Providing customers with information regarding food ingredients, availability and pricing.
• Must be able to handle customer complaints with grace.
• Escalating customer concerns and complaints to management.
• Assisting customers to pay for products.
• Complying with relevant safety, hygiene and service standards and procedures.
• Occasionally checking to ensure that restrooms are clean.
• Replace soda fountain syrup when empty

Food Service Worker Requirements

• High School Diploma, GED, or suitable equivalent.
• 3+ months food service experience.
• Completion of provided training program.
• Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
• Basic mathematical skills.
• Proficient understanding of food allergies and modified diets.
• Must hold a valid Food Handlers Permit.
• Excellent people skills.
• Available to work shifts and extended hours.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $9.00 - $11.00 per hour
