Legal Assistant - Personal Injury

Ultimate Staffing is seeking a professional and detail-oriented Legal Assistant to support a busy 4-attorney Personal Injury law office located in downtown Hartford. Key Responsibilities Ultimate Staffing is seeking a professional and detail-oriented Legal Assistant to support a busy 4-attorney Personal Injury law office located in downtown Hartford. This is a fully onsite opportunity offering free onsite parking and the chance to work in a collaborative, fast-paced legal environment. The ideal candidate will be highly organized, able to maintain strict confidentiality, comfortable working independently, and capable of handling sensitive client information with professionalism and discretion. Obtain, track, and organize medical records and related documentation. Assist with e-filing legal documents and maintaining case files. Support the attorneys and legal team with administrative and case management tasks. Follow up with clients regarding treatment updates and case information. Prepare and organize files for settlement demands and litigation support. Assist with billing functions and entering attorney billable hours as needed. Manage case-related documentation and maintain accurate records. Provide backup support to attorneys and office staff, including answering phones and general administrative duties. Handle confidential and sensitive information with the highest level of professionalism. Qualifications Previous legal assistant experience in Personal Injury preferred, but willing to train the right candidate. Experience obtaining medical records, e-filing, and legal document management is highly desirable. Strong organizational skills and attention to detail. Ability to work independently and prioritize multiple tasks. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Proficiency with Microsoft Office and legal case management systems is a plus. Bilingual Spanish is preferred but not required.
