As a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist, your responsibilities will be multifaceted, including but not limited to:

  • Conducting thorough assessments to evaluate clients' emotional needs, family dynamics, and recovery goals, leading to the development of personalized, integrated treatment plans.

  • Employing family systems theory and various therapeutic techniques to support effective communication, conflict resolution, and adaptive coping strategies among clients and their families.

  • Collaborating with physical and occupational therapists, medical staff, and other professionals as part of the care team to ensure a cohesive approach to client recovery and mental health.

  • Providing immediate crisis intervention and support during acute episodes of distress, particularly when clients are experiencing significant challenges within their rehabilitation.

  • Maintaining meticulous and confidential documentation of client sessions, progress notes, and treatment plans compliant with ethical and legal standards.

  • Educating clients and their families on coping mechanisms, emotional health matters, and methods for enhancing familial relationships.

  • Continuing professional development through research, training, and best practice applications in marriage and family therapy and rehabilitation.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

Your work will primarily focus on clients engaged in rehabilitation programs, many of whom might be dealing with life-altering physical challenges or mental health issues.   • Valid and current licensure as a Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT) in California.

Compensation and Benefits\n

This role comes with a competitive salary range of $80,000 to $105,000 annually, commensurate with experience and qualifications.
