Senior Accountant

Rapidly growing, successful private company in Houston is hiring an experienced Senior Accountant for its Corporate Accounting team. Responsibilities:

• Perform core accounting activities, including the preparation of daily, weekly, and monthly journal entries and support for month-end and year-end close processes.
• Manage intercompany accounting and prepare account reconciliations to ensure the accuracy and integrity of financial reporting.
• Assist in maintaining compliance with U.S. GAAP, applicable accounting guidance, and established internal control requirements.
• Coordinate with external auditors and internal stakeholders by providing timely, accurate, and well-organized support.
• Participate in special projects and process improvement initiatives that enhance the effectiveness and efficiency of the accounting function.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in accounting from an accredited institution.
• Strong understanding of accounting principles, U.S. GAAP, and experience in financial reporting.
• A minimum of 4–5 years of relevant experience in a corporate accounting environment.
• Demonstrated attention to detail, sound judgment, and a consistent commitment to delivering high-quality work.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills, solid systems aptitude, and advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
