Utility Truck Diesel Diagnostics Specialist

Where you’ll work: Custom Truck One Source (CTOS), 7909 N Upland Dr., Portland, OR 97203 Are you the go-to problem-solver for heavy-duty trucks and utility equipment? Do you enjoy cracking tough hydraulic, pneumatic, electrical, and aftertreatment challenges with modern diagnostic software? Your impact Troubleshoot hydraulic fluid power issues—cylinders, hoses, PTO’s—and interpret blueprints to execute clean, safe repairs. Diagnose pneumatic tools and systems for performance, safety, and reliability. Use Quick Serve, DTNA, and other platforms to pinpoint diesel and aftertreatment faults (DPF/DEF) and validate repairs. Work through 12V multiplex electrical problems methodically and accurately. Dismantle and reassemble heavy equipment with precision; test equipment to ensure it meets specifications. Perform and document DOT, ANSI, and dielectric testing. Follow written/verbal installation instructions; keep workspaces and equipment clean; participate in monthly safety meetings. Track parts, services, and labor for complete job-cost records. Fleet and equipment you’ll service Boom Trucks/Cranes, Bucket/Dump Trucks, Digger Derricks, Utility Trucks, and related specialty units supporting utilities, telecom, construction, forestry, oil, and rail. Schedule & Compensation Monday–Friday, 7:00 am – 3:30 pm; overtime as needed. Competitive pay commensurate with experience. Qualifications 3+ years of relevant experience with heavy equipment or utility fleets. High school diploma or equivalent. Personal tool set required. Valid driver’s license; CDL preferred.
