Key Qualifications:

• Active LPN or LVN license required
• Experience working as a nurse in a school environment preferred
• Confidence and compassion in providing 1:1 care to students
• Ability to ride the school bus with the student, ensuring safety to and from school
• Strong communication skills for collaborating with teachers, staff, and families
• Commitment to upholding standards of patient confidentiality and professionalism

Primary Responsibilities:

• Deliver direct care and medical support to the assigned student throughout the school day
• Accompany the student on the school bus, monitoring and addressing healthcare needs during transit
• Administer medications and perform nursing interventions as needed
• Document daily care, observations, and any incidents according to school policy
• Serve as a helpful medical resource for the student, promoting a positive and supportive learning environment
• Liaise with educators, counselors, and family members to coordinate ongoing care
