- Performing thorough patient evaluations, recommending tests, and crafting personalized care plans
- Diagnosing and managing acute, chronic, or episodic conditions in collaboration with physicians or autonomously, contingent on your credentials
- Providing education to patients and their families about health maintenance, prevention, and illness management
- Prescribing necessary treatments and medications as permitted within your practice scope
- Engaging in patient follow-up and chronic care strategies
- Working with interdisciplinary teams to deliver integrated, comprehensive care
- Maintaining meticulous documentation within electronic medical record (EMR) systems
- Master of Science in Nursing (MSN) or Doctor of Nursing Practice (DNP)
- Completion of an accredited Nurse Practitioner program
- Active Nurse Practitioner license in Kansas
- National certification as a Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP-C, AANP, or ANCC) or an equivalent specialty
- Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certifications (or willingness to acquire within 90 days)
- Highly developed clinical judgement complemented by a caring approach
- Outstanding communication abilities with patients, families, and healthcare colleagues
