Desktop TechnicianTrident Consulting is seeking a Desktop Technician for one of our clients in Aliso Viejo, CA - Onsite — a global leader in Medical devices industry.Job Title: Desktop TechnicianLocation: Aliso Viejo, CA - OnsiteType: W2 ContractRate: $36/HrDescriptionThe IT Desktop Support Technician III provides hands-on technical support, manages IT assets, and owns onboarding/offboarding for both onsite and remote employees. This role requires a customer-focused mindset, strong troubleshooting skills, and the ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment. This position plays a critical role in ensuring system stability, security, and scalability while supporting ongoing IT projects and operational improvements.ResponsibilitiesDevelop training materials and procedures, or train users in the proper use of hardware or software Set up equipment for employee use, performing or ensuring proper installation of cables, operating systems, or appropriate software Install and perform minor repairs to hardware, software, or peripheral equipment, following design or installation specificationsMaintain records of daily data communication transactions, problems and remedial actions taken, or installation activities Read technical manuals, confer with users, or conduct computer diagnostics to investigate and resolve problems or to provide technical assistance and supportRefer major hardware or software problems or defective products to vendors or technicians for serviceAssist with onboarding of new employeesMake recommendations for hardware and software for the organizationPerform desktop and laptop system deployments including hardware and software configurationProvide regular updates on the status of tickets, open issues and projectsPerform troubleshooting of supported desktop operation systems and applications.QualificationsHigh School diploma or equivalent experience is required.
