Job Requirements and Duties Responsible for everything that happens during your shift including cost controls, inventory control, cash control and customer relations. Set the example and follow all policies and procedures 100% of the time, expecting the same from the crew. Qualifications General job duties for all store team members Operate all equipment. Stock ingredients from delivery area to storage, work area, and walk‑in cooler. Prepare product. Receive and process telephone orders. Take inventory and complete associated paperwork. Clean equipment and facility approximately daily. Training Orientation and training provided on the job. Communication Skills Comprehend and give correct written instructions. Communicate verbally with customers and co‑workers to process orders both over the phone and in person. Essential Functions and Skills Perform addition, subtraction, multiplication and division accurately and quickly (may use calculator). Make correct monetary change. Use verbal, written and telephone skills to take and process orders. Coordinate motor movements between eyes and hands to make precise, rapid movements with speed. Enter orders using a computer keyboard or touch screen. Work Conditions (Store) Varying and sometimes adverse weather when removing trash and performing other outside tasks. Indoor temperatures range from 36 degrees in cooler to 90 degrees or higher in some areas. Sudden changes in temperature inside and outside. Exposure to food odors and cornmeal dust. Cramped quarters including walk‑in cooler. Hot surfaces/tools from oven up to 500 degrees or higher. Sharp edges and moving mechanical parts. Sensing Talking and hearing on telephone. Near and mid‑range vision for most in‑store tasks. Depth perception. Ability to differentiate between hot and cold surfaces. Temperaments The ability to direct activities, perform repetitive tasks, work alone and with others, work under stress, meet strict quality control standards, deal with people, analyze and compile data, make judgments and decisions. Physical Requirements Standing – most tasks performed from a standing position. Walking – short distances for short durations on ceramic tile, bricks, linoleum in food process areas. Height of work surfaces is between 36 and 48 inches. Sitting – paperwork normally completed in an office at a desk or table. Lifting – bulk product deliveries made twice a week or more, unloaded with a hand truck. Deliveries may include cases of ingredients and supplies weighing up to 50 pounds, dimensions up to 3 by 1.5. Cases usually lifted from floor and stacked onto shelves up to 72 inches high. Carrying – large cans weighing 3 pounds 7 ounces, pizza sauce weighing 30 pounds, trays of dough weighing approximately 12 pounds each carried three at a time over short distances. Pushing – move trays placed on dollies; a stack of trays on a dolly is approximately 24 to 30 inches and requires a force of up to 7.5 pounds to push. Trays may also be pulled. Climbing – infrequently navigate stairs or climb a ladder for maintenance tasks. Forward bending – necessary at the pizza assembly station, front counter and when stocking ingredients. Duration 30 to 45 seconds at one time, repeated continuously. Crouching/Squatting – occasionally to stock shelves and clean low areas. Reaching – performed continuously; above 72 inches occasionally to turn ovens, change signs, lift objects from shelves; reach down for tasks such as scooping cornmeal, washing dishes; reach forward for toppings and answering phones. Hand tasks – eye‑hand coordination essential; frequent use of forearms and wrists shaping dough, manipulating pizza peel and cutter, pinching during box assembly, grasping cans, phones, cutters and boxes. Machines, tools and equipment – use pencils, pens, computers, telephones, calculators, pizza cutters, peels. Driving Specific Job Duties Deliver product by car to customer door. Deliver flyers and door hangers. Requirements Valid driver’s license with a safe driving record that meets company standards. Access to an insured vehicle usable for delivery. Essential Skills (Delivery) Navigation skills to read a map and locate addresses within the designated delivery area. Navigate adverse terrain including multi‑story buildings, private homes, and other delivery sites while carrying product. Physical Demands (Delivery) Carrying – transport pizzas and beverages during walking and climbing duties. Driving – deliver pizzas within the designated area; several deliveries per shift. Walking – travel between store, vehicle and customer location. Climbing – navigation of five or more flights of stairs may be required during delivery.
