Location : Greater Seattle Area/Pacific NW Region strongly preferred.

Open to fully remote outside these areas, depending on candidate’s credentials and ability to support core office hours.

Compensation & Benefits

• Full salary range: $30/hour-$45/hour ($62,400-$93,600 annual)
• Expected hiring range: $30-$41/hour (commensurate with experience)

*Eligible for discretionary annual bonus

Summary of Key Outcomes

The Legal Billing Specialist keeps the family law practice's cash flow healthy and its clients informed — invoices go out accurate and on time, trust accounts reconcile every month, and clients feel respected even when talking about money during one of the hardest periods of their lives.

• Ensures timely and accurate client billing
• Ensures that client trust accounts are up to date and accurate
• Collaborates with collections staff to help ensure healthy cash flow metrics
• Consistently demonstrates a commitment to delivering excellent customer service
• Continuously looking for ways to improve and support firm operations and initiatives

* This role includes cross-training and serving as backup for a variety of accounting functions.

Requirements:

• Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business preferred
• 5+ years of experience in accounting or legal billing (legal billing strongly preferred)
• Experience with complex reconciliations
• Intermediate Excel skills (formulas, filtering, sorting, pivot tables)
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with tact and empathy for clients in difficult personal situations
