We are hiring an Import/Export Clerk to support our customs brokerage and freight logistics operations. You will prepare and organize shipment documentation, keep clients informed, and make sure each request is handled in the order that best serves the customer. This role suits a detail-oriented, bilingual professional who is comfortable working in a fast-moving, deadline-driven border environment.

Key Responsibilities

* Prepare, review, and file import and export documentation, including commercial invoices, packing lists, bills of lading, and entry paperwork

* Enter shipment data accurately into our systems and Microsoft Office files, and keep records organized and audit-ready

* Communicate with customers, carriers, brokers, and agencies in English and Spanish by phone, email, and in person

* Track shipments and status updates, and notify customers promptly of delays, holds, or missing documents

* Prioritize and schedule daily tasks according to customer requirements and delivery deadlines

* Coordinate with team members on entries, in-bond movements, and cross-border shipments

* Assist with dispatching shipments at the international bridge, coordinating with drivers, carriers, and customs to keep crossings on schedule

* Maintain accurate files and follow company and regulatory recordkeeping procedures

* Perform other related duties as assigned

Requirements

* Fully bilingual in Spanish and English, with strong spoken and written communication

* Flexible availability, including adjusting hours to meet shipment and customer deadlines

* Working knowledge of Microsoft Office software, especially Excel, Word, and Outlook

* Ability to organize and prioritize tasks according to customer requirements

* Strong attention to detail and accuracy with documents and data

* Reliable, professional, and able to work both independently and as part of a team

Work Schedule and Environment

This is an office-based position. Hours are flexible and may vary with shipment volume, customer needs, and port or agency schedules, so candidates should be able to adjust their schedule as needed. The role involves regular computer use, frequent phone and email contact with customers, and a fast-paced workload with competing deadlines.

 

Schedule: 9:30 AM-6:30 PM

(1-hour lunch break)

 

Pay rate: $13.50 /hr
