About the Role We're looking for a Platform Engineer to join our Platform Infrastructure team supporting Cumberland and FICCO's trading operations. In this role, you'll be the driving force behind how we deploy, observe, and scale our systems - making deployments faster, system health more visible, and infrastructure more self-service. Your focus will be on automating deployment patterns, building observability that actually surfaces signal over noise, and evolving our platforms to meet the demands of mission‑critical trading. What You'll Do: Converge and improve application deployment patterns across containerized and non-containerized workloads Build self‑service infrastructure provisioning using Terraform/Terragrunt and Ansible Drive CI/CD excellence and advocate for modern software delivery practices Enhance monitoring and alerting to enable proactive capacity management and early failure detection - without the noise Research and implement technologies that improve container orchestration, workload management, and system visibility Learn and support in-house tools for infrastructure management and deployment workflows Participate in on‑call rotation to resolve trade‑critical issues and identify opportunities for automation Maintain system security through regular patching, reporting, and compliance with security standards Challenge the status quo and advocate for meaningful change What We're Looking For: The Tech Experience supporting mission‑critical, high‑performance trading systems Proficiency with Prometheus and Grafana for monitoring and observability Solid Python skills for automation and tooling Hands‑on experience with Ansible and Terraform/Terragrunt Understanding of CI/CD pipelines and software delivery best practices Familiarity with TLS and network protocols (including multicast and WebSockets) Familiarity with AWS The Intangibles You learn quickly and genuinely enjoy exploring new technology You take ownership - problems don't sit idle on your watch You communicate clearly, both in writing and conversation, especially across distributed teams You stay composed under pressure and manage competing priorities effectively You can accommodate occasional off‑hours calls and escalations The annual base salary range for this position is $140,000 to $180,000 depending on the candidate’s experience, qualifications, and relevant skill set. The position is also eligible for an annual discretionary bonus.
