Facilities Manager

Facilities ManagerResponsible for management of company-owned facilities.Essential Functions and Responsibilities:Manage company-owned facilities and other buildings owned by company President.Coordinate year-round facility upkeep and seasonal preparedness across all facilities.Follow company protocol for requisitions and use cost effective means to purchase parts for facility related repairs.Oversees building and grounds maintenance.Operates, oversees, and maintains custodial functions & staff.Ensures that the facility is clean and maintained according to company policy and procedures.Manages and review service contracts for all facilities.Conducts and documents regular facilities inspections.Checks completed work by vendors and contractors for all facilities.Coordinate maintenance, repair, and safety of the facilities.Planning, coordination, and strategy development for ensuring the long-term improvement of the facilitiesFollowing safety, health, and environmental laws and regulations related to facilities.Forecasts, allocates, and supervises the financial and physical resources of the facility managementResponsible for reporting at monthly ISO meetings.Coordinate special projects and other duties as assigned.Perform other duties as assigned.Job Qualifications:High school diploma required; higher education preferred.Facilities experience preferredStrong project management skillsAbility to learn and follow OSHA and other environmental regulationsKnowledge of general maintenance methods, operating requirements, and safety precautions related to facilities managementGeneral computer experience required.Valid Michigan driver license and ability to be covered on company auto insurance (based on driving record) Required.Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:Strong project management skillsStrong knowledge of materials, methods and tools involved in building repairExcellent interpersonal skills and ability to communicate effectively at all levels of the organizationStrong organizational and time management skills and attention to detailOutstanding supervisory skills and ability to motivate and effectively manage staffStrong computer skillsAbility to handle sensitive information in a confidential mannerAbility to follow and enforce all company policies and proceduresPhysical and Environmental Requirements:Ability to stand for an entire shift to perform job dutiesPhysical activity such as walking, bending, reaching, and twisting to access machinery and various areas of the facilities and vehiclesAbility to safely ascend and descend steps, stairs, or ladders to access machinery, fork trucks, vehicles, and various areas of the facilitiesAbility to lift up to 75 pounds while repairing machinery or performing various facility functionsExposure to machinery and loud noisesComputer use and keyboarding to perform administrative dutiesExtensive local travel and occasional regional travel required for company business.Authority:All employees at this facility have responsibility and authority to note areas of product or customer issues and bring it to management's attention.Employee AcknowledgementI acknowledge that I have reviewed this job description and I understand and can perform the essential functions and other requirements of the position, with or without accommodation.
