Job Title: Travel RN - Cardiac Cath Lab (Days + On-Call)

Location: Rockford, IL - Mercyhealth Javon Bea Hospital

Duration: 13 Weeks

Start Date: ASAP (Quick Start)

Shift: Day Shift + On-Call Rotation (Weeknights, Weekends, Holidays)

Hours: 40 hrs/week (Guaranteed)

Job Overview:


We are seeking an experienced Cardiac Cath Lab RN to join a high-performing team at Mercyhealth Javon Bea Hospital. The ideal candidate will have strong experience in a Level 1 Trauma Center Cath Lab setting and be comfortable handling complex cardiovascular cases.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide comprehensive patient care using the nursing process (assessment, planning, implementation, evaluation)
• Administer medications and treatments per physician orders and hospital protocols
• Monitor and document patient status accurately in EPIC EMR
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure optimal patient outcomes
• Educate patients and families on procedures and recovery plans
• Respond effectively in high-acuity and emergency situations
• Participate in quality improvement and peer review activities
• Support patient safety initiatives and maintain care standards

Requirements:

• Active Illinois RN License (Required at submission)
• BLS, ACLS, PALS, NIHSS (Required)
• Graduate of an accredited nursing program
• Minimum 3 years RN experience
• At least 1 year of critical care experience
• Cath Lab / Cardiovascular Intervention experience required
• Must pass EKG test during onboarding
