Director, Health Information Management (HIM)We are seeking a seasoned Director of Health Information Management (HIM) to lead and oversee the management, strategic planning, and compliance of health information systems within our organization. This is a senior-level leadership position responsible for ensuring the integrity, accuracy, and security of health data, in alignment with organizational goals and regulatory requirements.Key Responsibilities:Provide strategic direction and oversight for HIM operations, ensuring alignment with organizational objectives and healthcare standards.Lead and mentor the HIM team, fostering professional growth and collaboration.Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local regulations, including HIPAA and other health information privacy laws.Oversee the development, implementation, and maintenance of health information systems, ensuring data integrity and accuracy.Collaborate with clinical, administrative, and IT teams to optimize workflows and information exchange.Develop and manage the departments budget, ensuring cost-effective operations.Conduct audits and assessments to maintain compliance and identify areas for improvement.Stay abreast of industry trends and emerging technologies to enhance HIM practices and systems.Qualifications:Bachelors degree in Health Information Management, Healthcare Administration, or related field (Masters degree preferred).RHIA (Registered Health Information Administrator) or RHIT (Registered Health Information Technician) certification is required.A minimum of 8-10 years of progressive experience in health information management, with at least 5 years in a leadership role.Strong knowledge of HIM standards, regulations, and best practices.Proficiency in health information systems and electronic medical records (EMR/EHR).Exceptional leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.What We Offer:Competitive salary and benefits package.Opportunities for professional growth and development.A dynamic and collaborative work environment.Send your resume and a cover letter to View email address on click.appcast.io with the subject line "Director, HIM Application [Your Name]."We are an equal opportunity employer and welcome applications from all qualified candidates.
