Job Summary

Clinic (No Specific Specialty) Registered Nurse position in an outpatient setting supporting patients receiving stem cell transplant and related therapies. The role provides assessment, supportive care, infusions, central line management, and post-transplant monitoring in a collaborative clinical environment.

Job Details

• Required Qualifications: Minimum 2 years of Registered Nurse experience; minimum 1 year of stem cell transplant experience; Basic Life Support (BLS) certification; chemotherapy certification; strong intravenous insertion skills; sterile central line dressing change experience; strong patient assessment skills; proficiency accessing central lines and ports; experience providing nurse-driven supportive care.
• Schedule: Day shift from 7:00 AM to 7:00 PM, 3 shifts per week, with a minimum of 36 hours per week. No self-scheduling or blocked scheduling; schedule flexibility is required.
• Preferred Qualifications: Experience caring for post-transplant patients, including allogeneic and autologous transplant patients; experience caring for chimeric antigen receptor T-cell (CAR-T) patients.
• Additional Information: Clinical responsibilities include post-transplant care, myeloablation and conditioning support, electrolyte replacement, intravenous immunoglobulin, pentamidine, infection workups, chemotherapy, immunologics, biologics, blood products, hydration fluids, intravenous antibiotics, Pneumocystis jirovecii pneumonia medications, vaccines, subcutaneous medications, and intramuscular medications. Neutropenic precautions and masking requirements apply. Patient assignments are acuity-based and typically range from 1 Registered Nurse to 3–4 patients. Occasional weekend coverage is required, typically 1–2 Saturdays per month and potentially 1 Sunday per month. The unit is open on holidays, with holiday scheduling avoided when possible. Orientation consists of 1 week or 3 shifts. Navy blue scrubs and no artificial nails are required.
