Incident Response Manager - Product & Engineering

For our client, we are seeking an Incident Response Manager - Product & Engineering to join the team of a leader in the Pharmaceuticals & Biotech space. This role will lead technical work focused on cloud-enabled scalability, reliability, and delivery excellence. You will work across engineering, product, operations, and business stakeholders to translate complex requirements into practical technology solutions. The position offers the opportunity to influence architecture, execution quality, and the technology capabilities that enable long-term growth within a Pharmaceuticals & Biotech environment. Location: Seattle, WA - US based candidates only, no visa sponsorship available Compensation: $290,000 – $365,000 annually Responsibilities Build the incident response management function with processes and tools for scale Serve as an on-call incident commander, coordinating responses during incidents Engage relevant stakeholders with urgency during fast-moving situations Own end-to-end incident communications, ensuring transparency and accuracy Participate in blameless incident reviews to drive improvements Develop and maintain incident response policies and escalation frameworks Collaborate with teams to enhance incident detection and response Qualifications 5+ years of incident management experience in technical product or infrastructure incidents Proven experience building or shaping an incident response program in a high-growth environment Strong sense of ownership and urgency with the ability to make independent decisions Adaptability in unprecedented situations where processes are developing Track record of effective collaboration across technical and non-technical teams Blameless, learning-oriented mindset for incident reviews Technical depth to engage with engineering teams on cloud infrastructure incidents Benefits Visa sponsorship available for qualified candidates Encouragement for applicants from underrepresented groups Emphasis on safety and preventing recruitment scams Hybrid work environment with a minimum office presence requirement Our client is an equal opportunity employer.
