Step into a rewarding opportunity supporting high school students as a Special Education Teacher for the 2026-2027 academic year. This full-time contract position focuses on a Resource Specialist Program (RSP) caseload, providing impactful instruction and guidance. The assignment runs from August 11, 2026, through June 4, 2027.
Key Experience & Qualifications:
- Current CTC Certification in Special Education, mild/moderate required
- Experience working with high school students in a special education setting preferred
- Ability to develop, implement, and monitor Individualized Education Programs (IEPs)
- Strong collaborative skills for working with general education staff, support staff, and families
- Effective communication and documentation abilities
- Commitment to fostering inclusive, supportive learning environments
Primary Responsibilities:
- Deliver specialized instruction tailored to students’ individual educational plans
- Assess student abilities and create strategies for academic, behavioral, and social success
- Collaborate with classroom teachers, counselors, and administrators to ensure coordinated support
- Communicate regularly with parents, guardians, and multidisciplinary team members
- Maintain accurate records and remain compliant with state and federal guidelines
- Participate in IEP meetings, professional development, and other school activities as needed
