Jeff Wyler Hyundai of Fairfield is looking for an energetic, motivated, outgoing Sales Consultant to join our team. And don't worry you don't have to be born knowing the difference between a transmission and a toaster. We'll teach you the car business.

We're looking for someone who knows how to connect with people, create relationships, follow up, and close deals.

Your Mission

Help customers find the right vehicle, have a great experience, and leave the dealership excited about their purchase. And, of course, sell some cars. You'll meet customers, learn what they're looking for, show them vehicles, take them on test drives, explain features, negotiate professionally, and guide them through the purchasing process. Basically, you'll help people answer the age-old question: "What am I going to drive home today?"

What You'll Do

• Greet customers with enthusiasm and make them feel welcome.
• Ask great questions and actually listen to the answers.
• Figure out what the customer needs, wants, and absolutely does not want.
• Learn the Hyundai lineup and become the resident expert on things like features, technology, safety, and fuel economy.
• Give awesome vehicle walkarounds and test drives.
• Demonstrate features without accidentally locking the customer in the car.
• Follow up with customers by phone, text, email, and CRM.
• Respond quickly to internet leads.
• Build your own customer base through prospecting, referrals, repeat business, and networking.
• Work with Sales Managers and Finance to help customers complete their purchase.
• Deliver vehicles and make sure customers actually know how to use all those buttons.
• Follow up after the sale and build relationships that bring customers back.
• Hit your goals and celebrate your wins.
• Learn from your losses instead of dramatically throwing your CRM password into the Ohio River.

Qualifications

You don't have to be a lifelong car salesperson. You do need to have the right attitude. We're looking for someone who is:

You do have to know how to work hard, talk to people, and follow through. We're looking for someone who is:

• 18+ years old with a valid driver's license and acceptable driving record.
• Outgoing, friendly, and comfortable meeting new people.
• Confident communicating with customers in person, over the phone, by text, and by email.
• Motivated by goals, achievement, and earning potential.
• Competitive you don't mind a little friendly scoreboard watching.
• Coachable and willing to learn our products, processes, and sales system.
• Comfortable asking questions and listening to what customers actually want.
• Persistent with follow-up without becoming the customer who texts someone 47 times before lunch.
• Organized enough to manage multiple customers, appointments, leads, and follow-ups.
• Professional in appearance, attitude, and communication.
• Comfortable using computers, smartphones, CRM systems, email, and digital sales tools.
• Able to work effectively in a fast-paced dealership environment.
• Reliable and committed to showing up ready to work.
• Able to work a dealership schedule, including evenings, weekends, and holidays as required.
• Able to work independently while also being a strong team player.
• Willing to learn from coaching and continuously improve.
