Growing together.As a full-time, exempt Specialty Pharmacy Manager, you will oversee all pharmacy operations including planning, organizing, controlling, and supervising activities, according to hospital policies, standards of practice of the profession, and state and federal laws. You will recommend innovations in the practice and function of the pharmacy to hospital administration and carry out mutually agreed upon programs with assistance from a full support team.Primary Responsibilities:Direct specialty pharmacy operations, ensuring timely access to complex and high-cost therapiesLead and develop specialty pharmacy staff, including pharmacists, technicians, liaisons, and support teamsOversee payer access, prior authorization, and reimbursement workflows, optimizing time-to-therapyEnsure compliance with accreditation, REMS, and regulatory requirements, including documentation and auditsMonitor clinical, financial, and operational performance metrics, driving quality and outcomes improvementCollaborate with providers, manufacturers, and health system partners to support therapy access and care coordinationDevelop and execute strategic initiatives, supporting program growth, patient access, and sustainabilitySchedule: This full-time, exempt position will work a minimum of 40 hours/week, Monday-Friday, 8:00am-5:00pm.Location: Oaklawn Hospital was founded in 1925 as a 12-bed hospital in a residential home, funded by a group of visionary philanthropists. Now, over 100 years later, we are licensed for 77 acute care beds and a 17-bed inpatient psychiatric unit. Our service area includes Calhoun County and parts of Branch and Eaton counties with a medical staff of more than 300 providers representing over 50 specialties.Pharmacy Hours: The pharmacy utilizes Arbor, Athena, and ScriptPro. Pharmacy hours are Monday - Friday, 8:00am-5:00pm.You'll be rewarded and recognized for your performance in an environment that will challenge you and give you clear direction on what it takes to succeed in your role as well as provide development for other roles you may be interested in.Required Qualifications:ACPE-accredited pharmacy degreeCurrent Michigan Pharmacist license in good standingCurrent MI Controlled Substance license or ability to obtain within 90 days of hire1+ years of pharmacy management experienceProficient computer skills with pharmacy systems and Microsoft OfficePreferred Qualifications:PharmDExperience with financial structures and/or 340b pricingPrior Authorization experiencePay is based on several factors including but not limited to local labor markets, education, work experience, certifications, etc. In addition to your salary, we offer benefits such as, a comprehensive benefits package, incentive and recognition programs, equity stock purchase and 401k contribution (all benefits are subject to eligibility requirements). The salary for this role will range from $112,700 - $193,200 annually based on full-time employment.
