Job Summary

Pediatric Cardiac Care Registered Nurse (RN) – Progressive Care Unit in a pediatric healthcare setting. This role involves providing specialized care to pediatric cardiac patients, including those with single ventricle heart transplants, ventricular assist devices, and other complex cardiac conditions. The position is based at a dedicated pediatric unit and offers an opportunity to work in a dynamic, specialized clinical environment.

Job Details

• Location: The healthcare provider’s pediatric unit at a medical campus.
• Shift: 12-Hour Nights (6:45 PM – 7:15 AM).
• Schedule: Nights, 36 hours per week, from 01/05/2027 to 04/10/2027.
• Required Qualifications: Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN), BLS (Basic Life Support), PALS (Pediatric Advanced Life Support), ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support), minimum 2 years of Pediatric Cardiac Progressive Care or Cardiac Step-Down experience, and at least 1 year of inpatient pediatric cardiology experience.
• Additional Information: Must have strong knowledge of pediatric three-stage single ventricle care including ventricle assist devices, and demonstrate competence caring for pediatric cardiology patients. Detailed experience with pediatric VAD patients or teaching hospital experience is preferred.
• Requirements include working every other weekend, with no RTO approved during the first two weeks of the assignment, and availability for 2 major holidays and 1 minor.
• No float requirement is specified, and travel experience is preferred but not mandatory.
